Music shaped by story.

Rikus Strauss is a South African Afrikaans alternative singer-songwriter and screen actor whose work is driven by character, emotional honesty and cinematic storytelling. Known to television audiences for his role as Tjattas Botma in 7de Laan, he brings an actor's instinct for tension and detail into songs that turn private moments into vivid, shared worlds.

Since beginning his independent recording journey, Rikus has released an English-language album and a growing Afrikaans catalogue including Hou Aan Seil, Somer In Die Winter, Ek Bly Wag and Vat Jy Myne. Whether on screen, on stage or in front of a camera for a carefully chosen collaboration, the promise stays the same: tell the story truthfully and let the audience find themselves inside it.
